Tan Delta Systems plc (AIM: TAND) has announced via RNS the receipt of a new order worth approximately £120,000 from Shell Marine Products Singapore, the commercial shipping division of Shell plc.
The order is placed under an existing distributor agreement and will see Tan Delta’s real-time oil condition monitoring sensors deployed across a range of vessels.

The systems will monitor critical onboard equipment including:
In marine operations, reliability is operationally and commercially critical. Equipment failures can result in costly delays, increased fuel consumption, and significant maintenance expense.
Tan Delta’s sensors analyse oil in working machinery continuously and in real time. By assessing lubricant condition at a molecular level, the system enables:
This supports a shift towards more predictive and evidence-based maintenance strategies within commercial fleets.
Tan Delta has been working with Shell Marine Products for several years to evaluate how real-time oil condition monitoring can deliver value across the commercial shipping sector.
While adoption cycles in conservative industrial markets can be measured, this order represents tangible commercial progress. It reflects growing confidence in the application of continuous oil analysis technology within marine environments, where reliability and cost control are central.
Although modest relative to the scale of the global marine market, the order provides further validation of the technology within a demanding operational context and builds on the company’s developing footprint in the maritime sector.
